Berserk

In the castle town of Midland, a new kind has come to power through treachery and violence. His demonic agents victimize the citizens, until one night, a mysterious warrior comes to destroy them. Known as the Black Swordsman, he has long held an unrelenting grudge against the king.

Before the twilight of Midland, a young mercenary named Guts fights for his fortune on the front lines. There he meets Griffith, who is charismatic, graceful, and deadly. Griffith's mercenary company, the Band of the Hawk, is a powerful military force and the talk of elite political circles. Between the strength of Guts' anger and Griffith's ambition, the face of Midland will never be the same.

Comments: Story line is good, not completely original, but if your the type to like blood and gore you would most likely enjoy this series. Character development is interesting, you can see the changes as the characters get older within the story, and the love plot doesn't really seem to exist much. The animation is definitly one of the good sides of this anime, not much of anything bad to comment on the animation.

Comments: Not the most amazing thing out there, the plot is nothing real exciting, as it never seems to follow a direct flow. The whole 'battle with tops' was interesting enough for me to watch, and the story of how mythical beasts became infused into select tops. There is basically no romance plot to this, maybe some, but this is mainly a kids show. The animation is nice, but I still wouldn't recommend this one.

Comments:
Okay, first of all, if you like Inuyasha then you'll probably also like Blue Seed. I seriously could write an essay on how similar they are. I won't spoil anything though! Momiji is pretty typical for a teenager, except for her intense clumsiness and tendencies to give the audience many pantyshots. Be prepared for slight pervertedness in the Omakes also. But overall, very good!
